Liberalism

"liberalism" has a different meaning in the Anglosphere and the rest of the world.

Especially in America, "liberalism" means what everywhere else is called "leftism".

However, to many people outside America, it becomes obvious that Anglosphere conservatism is essentially "liberal".

To these non-Anglos, "liberalism" does not mean "leftism", but it means a philosophy centred around market-worship and individualism, not necessarily egalitarian.

The Anglos would call this "libertarianism".

Because of believing that "libertarianism" and market-fundamentalism are "not leftism", conservatives in the anglosphere feel comfortable defending and approprating these things.

However, in terms of cultural and ethnic preservation, market-fundamentalism, liberalism, are just as destructive as marxism.

The mechanism however, is different;

Marxism forbids conservatism, cultural expressions. (1984)

Liberalism, capitalism does not need to forbid higher culture and traditions. It drowns them in irrelevance, hedonism, consumerism. (Brave New World)

Eventually one is left with no culture to defend, except the culture of free immigration, every worker being replaceable. Such a society has no use for race, gender, religion, class, tradition.

The problem of the Western world today, is not solely marxism.

The ideology of the UN and the EUro, is not marxist, but liberal, in the market sense.

Conservatives are unable to form a solid criticism, because they too are market liberals and individualists.
