Macron and Marianne: Distinguishing between Anglosphere multiculturalism and French laicité!

There is the idea, which is not exclusive to Marianne Magazine or Macron at all, that the Anglosphere is a distinct culture from other Western / White / Euro countries.

What Macron and Marianne are getting at, is that the Anglosphere, especially American media, are blaming France for its terrorist problems, by arguing that French secularism is a religion, that France is being intolerant etc.
They say this is due to American culture and sensibilities.
Macron argues American culture is rooted in segregation and subsequently multiculturalism, both seem to foster parallel societies.
On the other hand, French culture is emphatically NOT rooted in multiculturalism but in laicité.

I think it's very good to see a European country asserting itself against multiculturalism.
A West European country especially.
That he distinguishes between laicism and multicul is very important, I believe.
Rejecting multiculturalism is the first step to reasserting ourselves against nihilism.
He certainly is no alt-rightist, but it's still a far better position than defending "e pluribus unum" in a multicul way like conservatives nowadays do.
The french ideology of laicism seems to provide much better guard against islamic terror than American culture, with its multiculturalism.

I think it's a good development that they bring light to the idea that American sensibilities do not necessarily have to translate to Europe.
Remember a few months ago, while Anglo-American cops were kneeling for BLM, what did "globalist" Macron say? "The Republic will not remove a single statue, nor erase a single trace of its history".
