"Competition among insurers, police, and arbitrators for paying clients would bring about a tendency toward a continuous fall in the price of protection (per insured value), thus rendering protection more affordable. In contrast, a monopolistic protector who may tax the protected can charge ever higher prices for his services."

if something is more abundant, its price will fall...
the notion of security is the reason people advocate statism.
so if it can be shown that elminating govt monopoly on protection and lawmaking is less costly and more effective when privatized as opposed to nationalized. one has demolished maybe the greatest argument for statism.
